Acrylic and mineral pigments on canvas
This painting marks the conceptual beginning of the project Matter in Suspension – The Human Dimension.
Through layers of dark matter, oxidised reds and fractured light, the surface unfolds like a suspended terrain — a space where fragments, textures and sediments begin to organise themselves before form fully emerges.
Although abstract, the work subtly echoes the geological atmospheres of the Scottish Highlands: landscapes shaped by time, erosion and deep material memory.
As the visual threshold of the project, this painting introduces the language that later unfolds throughout the series — where matter, memory and human presence coexist in a fragile and shifting balance.

Acrylic and textured relief on canvas
Layers of matter settle softly, forming a quiet inner landscape suspended in time. Circular traces float above the textured surface, gently acknowledging what lies beneath. This work suggests the way memory finds a body, not through weight, but through presence. With this piece, I invite you to sense how what has been lived becomes terrain—a suspended foundation awaiting recognition.

A vertical breath of red opens a narrow passage through a suspended field of calm density. It rises gently, carrying a sense of inner clarity, as though a first pulse were forming in silence. The material hesitates without falling, and the light advances without haste. With this piece, I invite you to perceive that moment
when something interior begins to take shape: a subtle orientation emerging from stillness.
